A real post of sorts. :-)

So I haven't updated lately about how the sleeping is going with Cole. He's doing pretty good. Some nights go much smoother than others, but we are settling into a routine that seems to be working. I would say on average it takes him about 10 mins to fall asleep. And for the past few nights, I've even been awake enough that when Cole wakes up to nurse, I feed him and then put him back in his bed! Go me! LOL! So like I said, all in all, it's going well.

For Christmas, Grandma Jill sent the boys each a $50 gift card to Walmart. Ryan was SOOO excited! He knew exactly what he wanted...Transformers! Transformers is a movie that could be playing on our television 24 hours a day and NONE of us would get sick of it! Anyway, we went to Walmart and it was pretty much picked over from Christmas. Ryan looked and looked and looked and found Bumblebee. He only partly transforms, but he talks too so Ryan was happy about that. Ryan had picked out some other things that he thought would be fun but after thinking about it he surprised both Josh and I when he said "I'll just get Bumblebee and save the rest of my monies to see if they have more transformers later." So a few days later, we had to go back to Walmart, when we did Ryan wanted to look at the toys again to see if they had gotten anymore Transformers. Boy oh boy was he excited when they had gotten the fully transformable Optimus Prime! It talks and everything. He was SOOOOO excited. There is another one called Bulkhead that he really wants too, but he's got to save up his money to be able to get that one. :-)
Cole had fun spending his money too. He got some cute rattles, some baby snacks, new onsies and socks and a really fun music toy that plays lullaby's and projects cute pictures on the ceiling. I think that's been one of the reasons that he's been going to sleep so well! :-)
We have seen a HUGE improvement in Ryan's attitude over the Christmas break. He has normal, 6 year old fits, but NOTHING like it was where he was going absolutely hysterical. He's been listening SO much better and being just a really big help. We aren't sure if it was because both he and I were on break from school and I only had to work part of the time or if it was being away from the "problem child" in his class. Either way, we are extremely happy with the improvements and no longer want to ship him off to a military school! LOL!
Cole is just amazing us every day. He is doing something new all the time and definitely keeps us on our toes. He's had a few run in's with the stairs, but every time he goes right back! We are working on a way to barricade our abnormal stairs that don't work with a baby gate. He is eating like crazy and I'm sure will impress the dr at his next appointment with a hefty weight gain. :-)
Josh and I have both started school. Josh has two online classes along with the cna class and I have one online and one campus class along with my cna. Josh had a spanish quiz where he had to call his teacher and recite the abc's in spanish. He was practicing outloud and got as far as "hota" and paused for a second, Ryan jumped in with "ele", "elle", "eme". It was pretty funny cause Cole has a toy that sings the abc's in spanish every time he pushes a button, so apparently Ryan has picked up on that. :-)
I worked a TON this week. It was the first week back to school, so everyone was getting their financial aid and came to buy books. Also, we recently had a HUGE layoff at one of the mills here, so every time that happens the enrollment at the college takes a huge jump! So that made us a lot busier. I think my math class should be okay easy...not simple, but I don't think I should have any problems with it.
Josh and I have been going back and forth about what we are going to do once he gets into the nursing program. I really don't want to put off school for me any longer, but at the same time, I really don't want the boys being put on the back burner. Regardless of how he starts his day, Josh is going to be gone from the house from probably about 7am to 7-8pm Mon-Fri and occasionally on the weekends. I will either be at school or work from 9-5 Mon-Fri. I'm just starting to get worried about how the boys are going to react to all this. I really want to get school done and out of the way, but at the same time I would LOVE to be able to be home with Cole and Ryan. Oh well, I guess we will just have to wait and see how things are once Josh gets into the program.
So yes, that is our lives right now...go, go, go all the time!!! :-)

Transformers! Ethan is all about them! We all love the movie too. I can't think of another movie that the whole family can watch over and over (and over and over) without getting tired of it.

Just to put in my 2 cents, if you are worried at all about missing out on the boys by doing your schooling and Josh's schooling at the same time, don't do it. You'll never get these years back, and even though you'd like to get school done, I don't think a few years makes a huge difference in the end, especially when you think about how much they will grow and change in those few years.
Of course, we all do what needs to be done, but if you have the choice...you know what I mean. ;)

Pray. Pray to your Heavenly Father, he will guide you and your family in the direction it should be going. Love you, have a great Sunday!

Your 6 year old sounds so darn cute, we love transformers too!!! We totally understand the go,go,go thing. I wish I could say it gets less busy but it won't so hopefully you like a fast pace!!! Ry usually works from 8am to dinner, has dinner with us gives the chicks their bath and then he's back to work till usually 11pm so I understand. It's hard but it works and the time they have with Dad is limited but precious! We just try to do as much as we can together as a family whenever possible. Ry coaches basketball too in his spare time(what spare time?)so we go to every game. Sounds like life is exciting!
