Longview Christmas Parade...

We went to the Christmas parade last night...however I'm a TOTAL dork and forgot my camera. It was a good parade, however Ryan was REALLY good for half of it and REALLY frustrating for the other half. He didn't understand that not everyone throws candy. I told him to wave and smile at all the floats and say Merry Christmas and maybe he would get some candy. Let me tell you what, that boy can turn it ON when he wants to get something. He had a GIANT smile on his face and waved like there was NO tomorrow. Everyone he saw got a Merry Christmas or Happy Holidays (he decided to switch it up now and then). However, he was pretty disappointed when all he got back was a Merry Christmas instead of candy. But we did come how with two huge pockets full of candy, so he didn't fare too poorly.
Cole loved watching the parade go by. He would hear Ryan saying Merry Christmas and he tried REALLY hard to say it also. It didn't really sound like Merry Christmas, but we knew what he was saying. :-) He also did really well for how noisy it was. There were so many horns and stuff. He was pretty mesmerized by the marching bands. There were two schools that had AWESOME marching bands, so that was pretty cool.
The boys got to see Santa and The Grinch (who came up and shook Ryan's hand. :-)) And afterwards it was SO freezing that we went into Dairy Queen which was right by where we parked the car and had something to eat. Cole was all about the french fries...seriously...everytime I think we find something that he will eat, he'll only eat it once and then won't touch it again. Crazy baby! :-)
When we got home, we tried to watch Rudolph, but I think the boys were just too wound up, so we got them to bed...it took a while, but eventually they went to sleep. So that was our big day. :-)
