Today was a super special day! We were so blessed for Josh's step parent adoption to Ryan to be finalized! While we have always been a family, it's so wonderful to know that legally it's all taken care of. The morning started a little rough due to a snow storm that made us a little late for our court time. Luckily we were only slightly late and were able to call ahead to let them know. My sweet friend, Lisa came to watch Cole and Hudson for us while we met with the judge. The actual meeting with the lawyer and the judge was pretty simple and quick. After asking a few questions to make sure the adoption is what both Ryan and Josh wanted, the papers were signed and everything was final.

Even though our appointment was in the morning, we kept Ryan out of school all day and made a family day of it. First we headed out to brunch, the boys picked IHOP of course. :-) Then when we headed home, Jenn, Morgan and Lila were waiting for us with this...
Jenn and Mom got us some sweet treats and cards, beautiful flowers and fun balloons!
After some rest time, we headed to the dollar theater to see Rise of The Guardians...which has quickly become the boys' new favorite movie. :-) Then after a quick dinner, we headed home for a nice sleep after a long, wonderful day. :-) I'm so incredibly grateful for this amazing family I have, and also for all the people who helped this long process finally come to a very happy end.
