WOW it's been a long time since I've updated! I would love to go day by day...but I really don't know if I can do that...but I'll try...
Monday...
I actually had a pretty decent Monday. I didn't have to work so I got a couple things done at home. Nothing really exciting happened, just hung out with the boys and waited until we had to pick Josh up from work.
Tuesday...
We all got up and got ready for the day. I had to work from 9am to 3pm. When I got to work I found out that my boss's mom had passed away. :-( So we were waiting to hear when the funeral would be and they were trying to see if we could get permission from the head people to close the store for a couple hours so that we could all go and show support for Debbie. Work was pretty uneventful, just working on inventory and laughing with Alyssa.
Wednesday...
Worked the same shift again, again, nothing super fun! :-) I really can't remember Wednesday that well...so that just goes to show you that probably nothing great happened!
Thursday...
Worked again. As a store we decided to provide dinner for Debbie and her family for Sunday. I offered to make the desserts cause that's what I'm good at! :-) So I decided I'd make a couple pies and some cupcakes so that they'd have some variety. Cole had his 9 month check up...I know a little late...but at least we had it. No shots, so that was nice...however, Cole's growth curve has dropped off. He's gone from the 50% in height and weight to the 20%. The Dr isn't SUPER concerned because of how proportional he is. Also he's SO active that the dr thinks that he's just burning up all the calories he's taking in and he's not getting enough to stick around to help him grow. So he gave us a prescription to let him eat whenever the mood strikes him (which he already does! He's such a good little eater!) and to keep up with the breastfeeding. The dr also said that if his growth curve doesn't pick up again by a year he's going to do some blood tests to make sure that everything is okay. We are scheduled for a weight check on the 10th of April and then he has his one year check up on the 15th of May. I'll update you all on how he's doing. When we got home that afternoon, I decided I was going to make chicken fett alfredo for dinner. So we had that and some green beans and then I made some YUMMY Cheddar Bay Buscuits! Seriously, they were SOOOO delicious! Josh loved them so much that he asked that I make them again for Friday's dinner. :-)
Friday...
I didn't have to work, so that was nice. We got Ryan off to school and Josh off to work and then Cole and I stopped by Safeway to hit some supersales and then headed home. By the time we got home, I had enough time to put all the groceries away before heading back to the school to pick up Ryan. I talked to Mrs. Bosch and she was telling me that Ryan's week was okay. She said there were just as many good things as negative things and that his biggest problem is staying on task. She said he was doing good in small reading group but when the whole class would do things, he would just kind of wander off to the other side of the room. Anyone who knows Ryan, knows that ever since he was a baby, he's not been that great in bigger groups. He definitely walks to his own beat, so groups have always been an issue with him. Mrs. Bosch thinks he will grow out of it, she's not sure if it will be this year, but she thinks he will be fine. She keeps telling me that he's not really being naughty, just mostly off task. She said she thinks he will do really well in first grade because he will have his own desk and things will be much more structured. I sure hope she's right!! :-) Friday night, I made the cupcakes, but I waited on the pies cause I wanted them to be as fresh as possible.
Saturday...
Oh Saturday...I got up early so I could get started on the pies, they turned out really good, I wish I would have taken pictures! I did break part of the crust on the raspberry peach pie. But in my defense, I really don't make pies...hardly ever! In my whole life, including these two pies, I've only made like 6 pies! So I should probably make them more often to get better at it! But we got those made, we dropped the boys off at Ms. Carolyn's and dropped off the pies at Gitta's and made it to clinicals on time! I got to work with two REALLY good CNA's, so that was awesome. Also, the girl that I was working with in the afternoon, I found out that her daughter is in Mrs. Bosch's PM kindergarten class! So yeah, that was pretty crazy.
Anyway, I think that is probably it. I'm going to hopefully get some pictures posted in 365, and now that the CNA class is over, hopefully I will be able to update on a more regular basis. :-)
