Saturday...

So my dreams of sleeping in were crushed when the boys woke up around 6am and decided to crawl and drool all over me! Apparently I looked like I wanted to wake up. I managed to doze a little while they were being silly and finally woke up around 8am and got the boys downstairs and got them some breakfast. Then I got them both in the bath and dressed cute. I showered and got dressed, then Josh got up, ate breakfast and showered. We ran some errands and then put together a picnic so we could head to the park. It was a really beautiful day so it was nice to be outside. Josh had to go into work for a few hours. So the boys and I went home and took a nap, then when Josh got home we went to an empty parking lot so Ryan could practice riding his bike. He's doing a GREAT job!! I'm really impressed! However the saddest news of the day, my beloved camera died. :-( A WEEK before Cole's first birthday and I have NO camera. I'm really trying to see if there is any way I can manage squeezing some money out of our budget for a new one, but I just don't see how it is going to happen. The biggest downer is that my camera was my photo camera AND my video camera...so I'm left with NOTHING...this totally sucks!! RIP wonderful camera...you were SO good to me! So today we decided to go to Woodland to check it out. Josh and I had talked about moving there after we were done with school because it's mid-way between Vancouver and Longview. Josh could keep working at St. John and I could (hopefully) work in a neonatal unit in Vancouver. We had high hopes for Woodland...unfortunately we were really disappointed. :-( It actually made us sad. So then Josh and I were trying to figure out what we would do? Do we stay here? Do we try to look elsewhere? We both know that we would really like to stay in the NW. We love all the outdoorsy stuff we can do here and love the close proximity to the ocean, mountains, lakes and trails. So we thought hey, what about Astoria? So on a whim, we drove over there (and were pretty much shocked that it's only like 45 mins from us) and checked it out. I haven't been there in forever and Josh had never been there. We LOVED it. It has an urgent care, hospital, women's center and health and wellness center. Any move would definitely be a long way off, but it was nice to go there and know that we have a fairly close option. :-) We had a lot of fun and took some fun pictures...I'll share some of them here. :-)
