Rough night...
So last night about 12:30am, I started having some serious pain. Cole had gone from nursing every 2.5 hrs to nursing at least every hour. The nursing part went off without a hitch, however it cause my uterus to contract so hard that it was almost as bad as the contractions I was having during labor! It took a little while for the pain meds to kick in, but once it did, I totally conked out! Unfortunately for Josh that left him with Cole for the next few hours. He did a GREAT job though! Seriously, I'm so lucky that he just took over and let me sleep. I was talking to my dr this morning and he said in addition to the pain, my body must have been tired also because the meds they gave me shouldn't have knocked me out like that. He also said the good thing with Cole going on a nursing spree is that my milk will come in faster. So that is good! We get to go home today, sometime this afternoon. Dr. Bartlett has gotten my perscriptions ready and he said he's going to come check on us again before they release us. Cole already got his pku and hep b stuff done and just a few mins ago we got his first baby pics done. :-) Josh brought the infant seat up last night so we are going to get that all set up and we should basically be ready to go. Cole and Josh are both sleeping soundly right now, so I think I am going to hop in the shower and get dressed. It's SO beautiful outside and I'm really excited for the weather to get consistently nicer so we can have fun and not be couped up all day. :-) I hope everyone has a great day!

I love that you're blogging from the hospital.
Stay on top of your meds for a couple days. Don't wait to take them until the pain kicks in or it will be hard to keep it under control. Fortunately, that shouldn't last super long.
How wonderful for you that you got such a good chunk of sleep! Sounds like you needed it. Good luck at home, too.
I can't wait for more pictures!! I'm going crazy for more!!!
Love you tons.
I agree with Rachel, stay on top of the pain. And I can't wait for more pictures! Oh ya, yeah for the sun!
Also...use a heating pad! That is what I did with both the girls and it worked wonders to help with the pain. I can't wait for more pictures and I am so excited you are going to get home. You will start feeling better when you get home and in your own space. I love you!!
