The Challenge: Grow the largest pumpkin
The Weigh-In Date: Oct 1, 2009
The Contenders: Anyone whose not chicken
We've tried this before with family and it didn't turn out so good...but we're making another attempt.
Official Rules (subject to adaptation by request):
The winning pumpkin must be started by you from a seed
The winning pumpkin must be grown at your place of residence
You must be willing to share periodic pictures of your progress
The grand prize winner will be whoever has the HEAVIEST pumpkin...but there might be some consolation prizes.
Grand prize is bragging rights and a home-made pumpkin pie (or a Marie Calendar's gift certificate...whichever is deemed easier by the location of the winner)
Anyone who is brave enough to accept the challenge, please identify yourself via a comment to this post so we can figure out who our group is.

Since it is my baby's first halloween and I will want TONS of pumpkin pictures, count me in. It will be fun! (Guess I better weed were my garden is supposed to be and start planting!) :)
