A couple days of walking...

So we did a couple days of walking this week and got to play, see some horses and just have fun!

Here is Cole and Morgan talking to a horse that they named "Bella".

That day they decided that all horses would be called Bellas.  It was pretty funny. :-)  Jenn's phone died so on this walk we didn't get anymore pics.  But we stopped to see a sweet baby horse, only three weeks old.  She was on the other side of the field sleeping and the boys just wanted her to wake up.  The owner of the house heard the boys calling to the horse and was kind enough to show us to the back fence where we could see the baby and mommy horse up close! :-)  The baby horse barely touch Cole's hand and he turned around and yelled "SHE LOVES ME!"  :-)  We learned that her name is Miss Good Friday.  As we walked up to the house, the owner showed us how a meadowlark had built it's nest right in the middle of his gravel driveway.  He explained to the boys how as we got closer the mommy and daddy birds would pretend to be hurt in hope that we would follow them and leave their eggs alone.  It was pretty cool! :-)

The next day we walked again and another set of horses were right by a fence so the boys got to spend a good 15 minutes petting horses! :-)

These horses were very sweet and calm while the kids were super excited that they were letting them pet them. :-)

Here's Cole with a horse. :-)  Unfortunately Hudson was fine while I was holding him, but every time I tried to set him down in the general vicinity of a horse to get a picture, he ran away.  I think the size of them kind of freaked him out. :-)

This is back at Miss Good Friday's home.  She was awake this time, but way across the field again so the boys just got to see her from afar. :-)

After our walk, we headed over to pick up Bright from school and have a picnic lunch at the park.

The boys had SO much fun running around and playing and Hudson has mastered the slides!

Here is Hudson in the process of climbing up to the slide.  He would NOT let go of his apple!  LOL!

I know Hudson doesn't look like he's having fun in the picture, but he is!  He made that face every time he went down the slide and then at the end got a huge smile! :-)

With the weather getting nicer and nicer, we are hoping to have a lot more fun walks! :-)
