Ten pictures and a video

So here are some random pictures that we have taken so far. They are kind of all mixed up, but I want to get to bed early so I'm not going to bother putting them in order. :-)
Cole playing on the water mat that Grandma and Grandpa got him for his first birthday!
Ryan playing with the cool sprinkler thing that daddy picked up for him so he wouldn't want to bug Cole.
Getting used to the water.
Ryan and Cole...it looks like the water is shooting right into Cole's mouth! LOL!
Ryan being silly in the car.
My AWESOME loaf of french bread!

Ryan found the sombrero in the garage and wanted a moustache to go with it! We had to try out a couple of styles! :-)

Our past few days...

Josh's mom, Judy got here on Thursday evening. On Saturday we got to go to the zoo! We had originally planned to go to the coast, but Ryan was getting sick and we didn't think it would be a good idea to have him in cooler weather with the wind and all. It was a beautiful day so we thought the zoo would be fun. It turned out to be Packy's 46th birthday! So they had really cute elephant ears for the kids, and lots of other cool stuff. There is also a new baby elephant, so that was really fun too! On Sunday, Ryan worked on learning to ride his bike without his training wheels. For Christmas he got his new bike and we have been practicing...but with all the rain, we don't get a lot of time to be outside. But I did get a couple pictures and some good video of him riding! Ryan is doing wonderful in school! He's had a serious turn around and I'm really hoping that it's a permanent one! He's reading VERY well. He's been a little sick but I think it's coming to an end. Cole of course is JUST now getting sick. :-( Poor guy...between that and getting more teeth, he's pretty sad! He has nine teeth now and the 10th is just about to break through. He's walking around like crazy, but I have yet to get it on camera!!! And the way he plays peek a boo is ADORABLE! Judy was very sweet and made us yummy dinners last night and and tonight! Here are some of the pics from the past couple of days!

Ryan and a picture of a lion. :-)

This picture is for reference...note how tall he is in comparison to the Sun Bear. This was taken a little under nine months ago.

This is Ryan just a couple of days ago! Can you believe how much he's grown in such a short time?!

What am I going to do with this kid!!

Ummm...Grandma...I guess this one's for you! LOL!

Sweet Potatoes!!!

So when I was at the store tonight I picked up some 1st sweet potatoes and applesauce for Cole. We decided to start with the sweet potatoes and I have to say, he LOVED them!!! It was hilarious! He's had rice cereal a handful of times and had some bites of yogurt and ate them fairly well. We mixed a little of the cereal with the sweet potatoes and he gobbled it up! It was really cute! Ryan got the special honor of feeding Cole his first bites of baby food! He did a good job, but then daddy wanted to get in on the action and Ryan got mad that he wasn't doing the feeding anymore. You can hear them arguing in the videos! LOL! :-) They're both a little selfish! I didn't get to feed him even one bite! LOL!

The first bite!

Another Cole milestone!!!

So do you guys remember in May when I had a little tiny baby? Remember? He was just this little thing with big hair...well he's a big boy now! At approximately 3:15pm PDT...he rolled over from his back to his belly! So at 2.5 mos he rolled from his belly to his back and at 4.5 mos he rolled from his back to his belly! He's getting to be so big it makes me want to cry! In no time at all he will be crawling and then I'll be in BIG trouble!! Here is the video of him rolling (we caught the second roll on video)...if you want to scroll through it actually happens at about two mins. After he rolled we were showing how he moves to get where he wants...it's so cute! Anyway, enjoy!!!

Our 4th of July, LOTS of pics and a video

We had a really fun 4th of July! We got up at about 8am and somehow made it to the church by 8:45am for the breakfast. :-) It was fun...they showed a really great short movie about the man who wrote the Star Spangled Banner. Ryan actually listened to most of it. Cole decided to poop up his back...again, so we had to cut out after about an hour. But first we took a couple pics. :-)

Josh, Ryan (giving the thumbs up) and Cole

Me, Ryan (rawring like a lion) and Cole

After we got Cole all changed we decided to head down by the lake to see what was going on. It turned out that there was a logging show and since none of us had ever seen one, we decided to sit and watch. It was REALLY cool! Like SO cool that I think I want to do logging games! LOL! I didn't get any pics cause I was holding Cole and Josh was wrangling Ryan most of the time. After a while, Ryan was done sitting and watching and it was starting to rain. So we went home and had lunch and then we all took naps so that we could be ready to be up so late.

We went to the school parking lot down the street to do some sparklers for Ryan before we headed to the lake for the fireworks show.

Here is Ryan trying to hold his sparklers

And Josh doing his sparklers :-)

Cole and Ryan after the sparklers were all gone...Ryan wasn't too happy

So it took us a while to find a place to park. Then we went and found an empty spot on the lawn to watch the show. I have to say that it was one of the best fireworks shows I've ever seen! It lasted at least 20 mins! Seriously, it was almost as good as the fireworks show at Disneyland!

Here is Josh and Cole waiting for the show to start

Ryan watching the fireworks (he loved the fireworks...but thought they were just a little loud...he kept asking me to 'please turn them down')

Cole during the fireworks (He did SO great!)

Ryan and I during the show

So afterwards, we all got back in the car and Josh got it in his head that he wanted to drive up into the hills to see if we could watch other people lighting off fireworks. So we drove for a while and couldn't find a good spot so we decided to give up. We also tried to find some deer for Ryan but couldn't. :-( Then Josh took one more turn on our way home and it was the right road to get us to a place were we could look down on Longview. Well as we were driving up, we passed a car that was parked...low and behold...people were doing some SERIOUS making out! LOL! So we sat for a min or two to watch the fireworks and then Josh said "Well this will just be uncomfortable for everyone if we sit and try to watch fireworks with them making out behind us!" So we decided to give them their privacy and head home. After all, it was midnight and even with a nap, it was WAY past everyone's bedtimes. So we got the boys in bed and then Josh and I watched tv for a while (I LOVE The Soup on E!)to unwind before heading to bed too. It was a great day! And I'll end with the video...it's kind of dark, but oh well. :-)
