Sometimes, being pregnant sucks...

We had a BEAUTIFUL day today. I mean it was 86°, a nice breeze every once in a while...just beautiful. Well Ryan and I spent the morning cleaning up around here and then when Josh came home for lunch we took him back to work and stopped by the park. We ate lunch and Ryan played on the playground. After about 25 mins, I started to feel sick. I was trying to stay in the shade but still be where I could see Ryan. Finally Ryan came up and I asked him if he wanted to come to the park by our house cause it's usually less crowded and we'd be closer to home. So he said yes and we got in the car. I turned on the air conditioning as high as it would go and I still didn't feel any better. So we got to the other park and I sat in the shade. Ryan played a little, but I think the heat was getting to him. I started to feel dizzy and I swear I could feel my feet swelling. So I told Ryan I was sorry but that we had to go home. I couldn't tell if I was going to throw up or what. So we got home, I put Ryan down for a nap and I stripped down to my tank top and undies to try to get cooled down. I drank a bunch of water but was still having some serious lower pain that I honestly couldn't tell what it was from, other than the heat. :-( I love nice weather...I loved that we had a beautiful day...and I'm so mad that half of it got wasted cause I was sick. :-( We picked up Josh at 5pm and it was still really nice out, so I made Josh take Ryan back to the park while I made dinner. I know that EXTREME heat makes me sick, but when I'm pregnant it makes it so even normal heat makes me sick. :-( I'm glad that this pregnancy will be over before summer hits. And if I can plan it at all, I will make sure that I am NEVER pregnant during the summer! Anyway, I'm done whining...for now. :-)

Worst night!

I woke up at about 3:30am with the worst leg cramps. I had to wake Josh up, not that there was anything he could do, but it made me feel better. I swear I thought someone was stabbing me. It was horrible. :-(

So we are heading back up to Washington today to see if we can find a place. We have a few places lined up to look at. And we are also going back to the apt place we liked to see if they are going to have any openings in March. Wish us luck!

Today's appointment

So I had my appt today. It went well. I'm measuring at 28 weeks, I'm only 25 weeks today so I am measuring big. He didn't check me to see if I was dialated at all because the contractions has slowed down so much. He did schedule me for another appointment right before I leave for the gluclose testing (yuk) and just a final check before I go. They told me to take it easy and not do too much and that should help with the contractions. They also said to try not to stress to much with the move and all that cause that would definitely make them worse. So hopefully from here on out it will be smooth sailing. :-) I'm already ready for a nap and I've only been awake for three hours! Oh well, I'll have the kids eat around 11:15 and then it'll be nap time!

Watch my tummy grow....

This is mainly for mom to see, but the rest of you can get a good laugh at how enormous I am! :-) The first pic is me at 6 weeks, the second is at 16 weeks and the third is me last week at 23.5 weeks.

Contractions and RLS

So I called Jenn last night because I was having such intense contractions that I thought I was going to die! They came on SO fast and honestly, it was a miracle I made it from the car to my room. I swear I'm really not a whimp when it comes to contractions and I was crying, it was hurting me so bad. I had called Jenn because I couldn't remember what to do to stop contractions. The first thing that came to mind was drink water and lay on my left side, but then I started second guessing myself and thinking maybe that's what I was supposed to do if I hadn't felt the baby move in a while. So Jenn confirmed that I was correct. Timmy got me some water and Josh got me the heating pad for my back. Jessica came upstairs after I had talked to mom because mom was just certain that I needed to call my dr right away. So Jess called the on call service and my dr called me back in about 10 mins. I told him what had happened and that it felt like it did when I was in labor with Ryan. He said that definitely wasn't good. He asked me how many contractions I'd had in an hour and I told him at least 10. He said that REALLY wasn't good. He asked if after an hour if they had intensified or subsided, I told him that after about 45 mins of laying down, they had definitely subsided but not gone away. He then said that I was doing the right thing and that if they were subsiding, then I should be okay. He also said that 6 or fewer contractions in an hour is fine, but any more than that and I needed to go straight to the hospital. He said that it was unlikely, but not unheard of that someone who had a successful, full term pregnancy would go into preterm labor SO early. He told me he would probably check me at my appt on Wednesday to make sure that I wasn't dialating, but that for the rest of the night I need to "stay quiet, stay down and stay calm". And also until Wednesday he wanted me to keep track of the intesity and frequecy of any contractions that I have and to take it easy until then. So yeah, that really sucked, but it's better today.

Also, I have been fighting with leg cramps and RLS. The RLS keeps me awake at night and the cramps wake me up from a dead sleep. I've been drinking TONS of water, but that doesn't seem to be helping at all. While I was in bed last night, I moved the heating pad from my back to behind my knees and that helped the RLS, so maybe I will just have to keep doing that. Any advice anyone has for RLS and leg cramps is very much welcome! So I think that covers my night last night, hopefully nothing like that will happen again, until it's actually time to have the baby! :-)
